September 07

AHO award MHO have won two awards at the first ever stand-alone Affordable Home Ownership Awards, held at the Riverbank Plaza Hotel in London on Friday, the 7th of September.

MHO won awards in the Best Regeneration Project and Best Partnership Working categories for work at Chalkhill (marketed as Inspiration for affordable home ownership) and Housing Options respectively.

Bernie Conroy, Assistant Director, was delighted with receiveing sector recognition for the teams at MHO:

'This is a magnificent achievement and recognises all the hard work a number of teams across MHO and MHP put in to offering an excellent service and making a positive difference to either the communities we work in or the services we provide to the customer.

And of the transformation of Chalkhill, which complements the transformation of nearby Wembley stadium, in Brent:

'On the new build site in Chalkhill we have been working for a number of years to turn this previously run down estate around and to offer affordable housing choices to help meet the needs of mixed tenures and mixed incomes. Sales, Marketing, the New Homes Team and Residential Sales deserve special recognition for their hard work and achievements on this site.'

The Best Partnership Working project award was received with Tower Homes, co-providers of HomeBuy Agency in London under the Housing Options brand. Over the course of the last year and a half, Housing Options have received approximately 40,000 applications for affordable home ownership products in the capital, creating a single point of contact for anyone interested in buying a home the affordable way. MHO and Tower have worked in partnership on a range of projects over the last 15 years, Housing Options encapsulates the two organisations collective drive and determination to improve the low cost home ownership sector through a singularly focused approach.

Bernie Conroy added:

'With the Partnership award there are a large operational team of staff across Applications and Enquires, Relationship Management, Equity Loans, Finance, Database and Marketing that work to deliver joint service and excellent partnership working who should equally be recognised. '
