Metropolitan home ownership services are data controllers under the Data Protection Act 1998. We will process personal information you have supplied to us in accordance with that Act and only for the purpose for which it is collected. From December 5, 2016 we will record outbound calls that we make (we do this already for inbound calls) to help us improve the service we provide. Recording calls means we can monitor them for training purposes. It also means that if customers aren’t happy with a call or the advice given, we can listen back, making it quicker and easier to deal with any complaints.

Metropolitan home ownership services are NOT a 'public authority' as defined by schedule 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Act - including the general right of access - does not apply to the Group.
In the interests of good business practice, public trust and being transparent about our policies and procedures, the Group has decided to comply with the The Act as if it where a 'schedule 1: public authority'.
