We’re keen to help you own a bigger part of your home.
All part buy, part rent leases allow you to buy a further share in your home up to outright ownership - you can usually do this in 3 steps - this is call staircasing. As the share you own gets bigger, the share MHO owns gets smaller and you pay less rent. If you’re staircasing to 100% you become an outright owner and pay no rent.

Typical steps to owning a further share are as follows:
1. You contact MHO for information on staircasing
2. MHO send you an information pack, including a list of valuers and details on what to do next
3. You return a valuation form with a cheque payable to your chosen valuer
4. MHO instruct the valuer
5. The valuer will contact you to arrange an appointment
6. MHO receive the valuation and sent it to you
7. You then decide if you want to staircase and by how much
8. If you decide to go ahead, you will need to complete on your extra share within 3 months (ie whilst the valuation is valid)
