Vote Metropolitan... for a treble at top sector awards

5 February 2013

Reliance Wharf, Hackney - nominated for Best Social Integration Project at the First Time Buyer Magazine Readers' Awards 2013.

Metropolitan’s home ownership service has been nominated for three awards at this year’s First Time Buyer Magazine Readers’ Awards.

The awards, which are judged by a combination of a panel of industry experts and readers’ votes, recognise achievement and excellence by housing associations and private developers in the provision of homes for first time buyers.

Metropolitan have been shortlisted in three Award categories, Affordable Housing Provider of the Year, Best Social Integration Project and Best Urban Regeneration Project.

Home Ownership’s Affordable Housing Provider of the Year entry focussed on the team’s performance in delivering great customer service. The submission included details of ‘above and beyond’ customer service by our after sales team and offered key performance information for the home ownership service as a whole. ‘Key stats’ provided included a 92% customer recommendation rating recorded in home ownership’s 2012 customer satisfaction survey; the third year running that the service has recorded a nine out of ten customer recommendation rating.

Metropolitan’s Best Social Integration Project entry featured our landmark development in Hackney, Reliance Wharf. Popular with buyers and renters alike, the development has provided much needed, high quality affordable living options across a range of tenures as well as apartments for private sale and commercial spaces, in an attractive, waterside setting in sought-after N1.

Clapham Park was submitted in the Best Urban Regeneration category. The entry described our delivery to-date on one of the most exciting transformations of a location that London has seen in the last decade, with Clapham Park being reinvented as a highly desirable destination for 21st century, leafy London living.  A place for residents to be proud of, that home buyers and investors alike want to buy into.

Bernie Conroy, Home Ownership Director at Metropolitan said:

“It’s fantastic to be nominated for these prestigious awards, which have provided an opportunity to showcase the great work that teams across Metropolitan deliver with our partners, residents and suppliers. These awards are important to us because they give first time buyers, our customers, an opportunity to get involved and decide the outcome.”

The First Time Buyer Magazine Awards event is being held at London’s Landmark Hotel on the 26th of April and will be hosted by TV’s Nikki Chapman.
